Operation summary, medication list, wound care instructions, warning signs, follow-up appointments.
Transport home
Arrange a chaperone — no driving for 24 hours after general anaesthesia.
First 24 hours at home
Rest, hydration, medication as prescribed, light meals, gentle mobilisation.
Follow-up
Telephone check at 48 hours and in-person review at 1–2 weeks.
